EVENT — the village coloring day.
Something wonderful happened in the village square this weekend: somebody laid out a stack of the new coloring books, dumped a mountain of crayons on the tables, and the whole village showed up.
Kids colored Lupa's fur purple. (Lupa says she's "reconsidering her look.") Somebody gave Invictus rainbow armor. Aquila got a full sunset background with what appears to be a second sun. Nox's page, witnesses report, was colored entirely in black — "for accuracy," the young artist explained.
Jack and Alice ran a "best defender" contest. It ended in a five-way tie, which Leo called "the only correct outcome."
The fire-rings drifted low over the square all afternoon, as if they wanted to watch. Maybe they did.
If your family wants in on the fun, the book's on Amazon — 45 pages, single-sided, with a free audio story hiding behind the QR code on the back.
