THE THRONE REPORT — every throne, every rumor, every week.
At the end of a long path past the north fields, up a hill nobody climbs, sits a throne nobody visits.
The Throne Report made the walk this week. It took the better part of a morning. The path was overgrown, the hill was steeper than it looked, and the throne — when we finally reached it — was plain stone, rain-washed, facing the sunrise.
Nobody was there. Nobody had been there in a long time. And it was, honestly, one of the nicest mornings this reporter has had all year.
The scholars have a theory about thrones nobody fights over, but the Report isn't sure it matters. Some thrones aren't for claiming or sitting or arguing about. Some are just for walking to.
